We have built a page for every state in our coverage area.
Although we only accept ads from a 60 mile belt around our 4 main
states, we did complete shelter lists for those states. We also have a list of Breed specific
shelters that combines the total coverage area.
Many hours have gone into researching these pages.
Some shelters were hard to find, others we could not find a website for.
If your shelter is not on our lists, or it is listed without a website,
please let us know and we will add you immediately. (If it is a rescue
that only deals in a particular breed, make sure you are not already on
the "Breed Specific" page first). Send the name of
your shelter, state and the web address to:
customerservice@midwestpetfinder.com.
If you are on the list, and your contact
information or website has changed, please let us know and we will
correct it right away. The same applies for errors. As I mentioned, this
took several hours, and sometimes days, for each page. It is very
possible, that I mistyped more than once.
These pages are only for rescue and shelter groups.
There is no charge to be added. If you are a breeder, or have animals to
sell, please go to the "Classifieds"
or "Breeder
Directory".
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are
many animals in need of homes in our "Classifieds"
section. Please help keep them out of the shelters. If you have an
animal in need of a home, before burdening the already overwhelmed
shelters, try to find them a home yourself. We offer very inexpensive,
effective advertising. Click on the classifieds link above, for either
